white-wineMan Vintners Chenin Blanc
(Agter-Paarl, South Africa)

The Agter-Paarl area is the ideal region for growing Chenin Blanc and our farmers have the largest collection of old vine Chenin Blanc in the country. To do justice to the excellent bush vine (un-trellised) grapes, we only use free-run juice – we don’t press the grape skins – and we leave the Chenin Blanc on its lees for three to four months before bottling for a richer, fuller mouthfeel. We call this our ‘sweet and sour’ wine – the acidity and sweetness are perfectly balanced. We’ve been told many times that this is a wine you taste and immediately love – and who are we to disagree?

A crisp, clean, expressive wine with pure fruit flavours for everyday drinking – also pairs well with food.

Light yellow/straw in appearance. Vibrant aromas of baked apples and quinces. On the palate, grapefruit and bold citrus flavours are backed by refreshing acidity and minerality.

A versatile food wine with poultry, shellfish and vegetable dishes. Also fabulous as an aperitif for a hot summer afternoon. Serve chilled.

100% Chenin Blanc
Red WineBoekenhoutskloof  Porcupine Ridge Syrah
(Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, South Africa)

From South Africa’s winery of the year 2012, famed for the marvellous Chocolate Block wine, Porcupine Ridge is more of an everyday drinking wine, designed to be highly approachable young. The name, incidentally, comes from the plethora of porcupines which inhabit the farm. This Syrah is produced from grapes sourced exclusively from Malmesbury in Swartland, excellent  territory for Rhone varietals, and displays very Northern Rhone aromas such as crushed black pepper and blackberry. On the palate there is more sumptuous, spicy black fruit with a pleasing lick of acidity to wrap it all up. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and is then one-third remains in vat while the remainder is aged in French oak barrels.

Rich and powerful dark fruit flavours with loads of pepper and violets. Well structured palate with smooth tannins and lingering mouth feel. Judicious use of oak adds to the profile without overpowering the fruit. Good density with a delicious aftertaste.

100% Syrah

Vintage Club

white-wineIndependent Producers Chardonnay
(Columbia Valley, Washington)

The House of Independent Producers Chardonnay is as close to a Chablis style white as you can find on the west coast. The wine sees no oak, and is a true definition of terroir winemaking, highlighting the beautiful vineyards of Sagemoor Farms, specifically the Dionysus Vineyard. House of Independent Producers is a project directed by Christophe Hedges, bringing to the table some of the more compelling Columbia Valley AVA vineyard sites.

Vias_Manero 2009 GB.eps100% Chardonnay
Red WineFattoria del Cerro Manero Rosso
(Tuscany, Italy)

Manero has very concentrated and deep ruby color. Intense aromas with touches of wild berries, hints of spices and vanilla undertones. Dense, with rounded decisive flavor and excellent persistence. Pairs well with roasted red meats and stews and aged cheeses.

80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot

Reserve Club

white-wineSpann Chardonnay Viognier Yin Yang
(Sonoma, California)

Viognier has voluptuous aromas of dried apricots and peaches. We blend in Chardonnay to create a crisp, well-balanced, food-friendly, eminently refreshing wine that tastes like springtime in a glass. This blend has consistently won Gold Medals at competitions around the country.

50% Chardonnay, 50% Viognier

Red WineNine North Parce 41 Merlot
(Napa Valley, California)

Merlot grapes are typically more difficult to grow than Cabernet Sauvignon, which is why the best Merlots are often more expensive. Therefore the goal with Parcel 41 was to make a Merlot that is supple and elegant, yet still has the structure, depth and richness you find in more expensive offerings.

Our limited production Merlot is enormously rich, ripe and concentrated showing layers of blackberry, currant and mocha. We enjoy it with grilled meats, steak, stew, leg of lamb, tuna and swordfish as well as anything that has a rich red sauce.

98% Merlot (Stags Leap District), 2% Petite Sirah

Premier Club

white-wineSaviah Chardonnay
(Stillwater Creek Vineyard, Walla Walla, Washington)

Our style of Chardonnay is clean and sophisticated showing beautiful scents of ripe stone fruits, pear, pineapple and Granny Smith apples with a touch of baking spice. Delicious vibrant fruit flavors meld perfectly with the rich mouth feel and a long refreshing finish. A nice wine to enjoy with crab cakes, scallops, pork roasted with apples or mushrooms sauteed in butter.

100% Chardonnay

Red WineLeo Premium Malbec

An intense red color, Valentin Bianchi’s Leo’s Premium Malbec boasts deep aromas of mature plum and cherries, with strong spice and voluptuous character enhanced by the French oak. The American oak adds complexity and a robust kick. The palate follows the nose, with intense, persistent and elegant, mature tannins, through the long finish. You’ll score big points with this wine.

Leo Premium Malbec comes from the Doña Elsa Estate, situated in Ram Caída, San Rafael, Mendoza at 2500 ft. above sea level. Rama Caída is among the coolest areas of San Rafael, with sandy calcareous soil of alluvial origins. The grapes were hand-picked and classically fermented, with periodic pump-over. The wine underwent three weeks of maceration with fermentation at controlled temperatures not exceeding 86 ° F (30° C). The wine then spent 12 months in new oak, 75% French oak and 25% American oak barrels. After bottling, the wine was aged an additional six months prior to release.

This wine is ideal to serve with a large variety of foods, especially with meat and hard cheeses.

100% Malbec

Anniversary Club Red

Boulevard Smokestack Series Four Pack with Glass

Fine BeerBoulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale

Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Fine BeerBoulevard Dark Truth Stout

Throughout the ages, man has been fascinated by the quest for hidden knowledge, the search for the secret to transforming the elemental into the extraordinary, the simple into the sublime. Ladies and gentlemen, we present for your consideration this exotic, inky concoction, the almost magical creation of our modern day alchemists who have turned humble grains—barley, wheat, rye, and oats—into black, liquid gold. Layers of complex flavors slowly emerge from the glass: espresso, roasted fig, crème brulée. Belgian yeast provides a plum-like fruitiness, noble German hops reveal spicy, herbal notes, while the rich, velvety mouthfeel mellows to a dry, smoky finish.

Fine BeerBoulevard Double Wide IPA

The classic India Pale Ale is a traveler’s beer, aggressively hopped to withstand the long, hot ocean voyage to the British East Indies. Our Double-Wide I.P.A. also travels well, and is right at home in the most exotic ports of call of the Midwest. While this modern-day prairie schooner may not resemble a graceful sailing sloop, our liberal hopping regimen does make her virtually “twister-proof,” with toffee and caramel notes balancing out the lingering bitterness. Enjoy this beer fresh to best appreciate the complex blending of hop aromas, ranging from minty to citrusy, with subtle hints of pine.

Fine BeerBoulevard The Sixth Glass Belgian Quad

”Do you know what dwells in a glass?” asks Ole, in Hans Christian Andersen’s The Watchman of the Tower. Better known for stories such as The Little Mermaid, Andersen wrote this short, cautionary tale for a somewhat older audience. Our quadrupel ale, also meant for the mature connoisseur, is a deep and mysterious libation, dark auburn and full-bodied, its sweetness deceptive. As Ole describes the glasses in turn, their contents become more ominous until, in the sixth glass…

Fine BeerDupont Tourpes Avec Les Bons Voeux Saison

“Golden amber color with a high white foamy head. Rich salty baguette, marmalade, and spicy apple-pear tart aromas with a vibrant, fruity-yet-dry full body and an everlasting, pepper bread, date, sour cherry, earth, and elegant spice driven finish. A incredibly complex and flavorful Belgian ale. Amazing! Winner of Best Belgian Specialty Ale”

– World Beer Championships

The Bons Vœux is a blond top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.  Since 1970, the brewery has been brewing a special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. (the name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont means “With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont”).

Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialise this “cadeau” but kept the name. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, even months before new year.

This Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hoparomas and tastes bitter, fruity and mild.

Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a longduring riping process, on a “dry hopping” base, are creating a typical and complex aroma and taste.

A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas

We love this beer with Thanksgiving turkey. Try it with spicy Thai dishes. Pairs beautifully with creamy, nutty and pungent cheeses such as camembert, fontina, asiago, and gorgonzola. Nice with lamb stew. Delicious with sautéed sweetbreads.

beerDupont Tourpes Posca Rustica Gruit

“Golden amber color with white foamy head. Bright aromas of coriander, spicy fruit chutney, fritatta and herb bread with a fruity medium-to-full body and a crisp, savory radish, watercress, peppercorn, and mineral accented finish. 95/100, Gold Medal”

World Beer Championships

Since 1983, Dupont has produced a beer especially for a Gallo-Roman site near the brewery where Stone Age life is interpreted, the Archeosite d’Aubechies.

Known as Cervesia in Belgium this beer is a throwback inspired by research into the drinks of the Gallo-Roman era. It is surely one of the brewery’s most exotic beers. It is a “Cervoise” beer spiced with a gruit (an old-fashioned herb mixture used to bitter and flavor beer, that was popular before hops came to predominate). Posca Rustica beer is highly, if delicately, spiced. Sweet woodruff (known as Galium odoratum or wild baby’s breath) and bog myrtle are but two of about a dozen spices used. Posca Rustica has a unique, odiferous and spicy character. Bottle conditioned. Beguiling and unusual. Discover what beer tasted like when Belgium was ruled by the Roman Empire.

Eat as if you were a denizen of a Roman encampment. Posca Rustica goes with anything cooked in a cauldron and/or served at communal tables. Mixed meat stews, and snails, for instance.

Posca Rustica was named to the 2012 list edited by Chris Schonberger at Complex Media “100 Beers to Try Before You Die”.

beerGigantic Most Premium Russian Imperial Stout
(Portland, Oregon)

Beer #15 in our endless series of limited edition artist and artisan beers.  As black as the uncaring hearts of the czars of Russia, as rich as their estates, as decadent as their palaces, and big enough for their empire, this imperial stout is nothing if not most premium.

Huge aromas of roast, coffee and dark fruit. Flavors of toasted malts, burnt and caramelized sugars, licorice and sesame. Black as night with a dense mocha head. Remarkably hides the high alcohol content.

10% ABV, 55 IBUs, 22oz bottle

beerHair of the Dog Fred
(Portland, Oregon)

Fred was created to honor beer writer and historian Fred Eckhardt. Fred is a big inspiration for me and many other brewers. Fred’s work in all-grain brewing and beer styles helped me become a better brewer. Fred the beer is a deep golden color. It is made with aromatic and rye malts and includes 10 different hop varieties in an effort to incorporate the whole world into this beer. It has 10% alcohol by volume and 65 IBUs. We hope that Fred will inspire you to share your knowledge with others as Fred has with us. (Click on the picture for a larger view.) Wondering about the age of your Fred?
