IPA March Madness – What do you *really* like?

Posted by Tom Gable Posted on Feb - 21 - 2012

Dear Enotecans,

It’s that time of year again, time for the IPAs to compete!  This year we’re using Facebook for the early round voting.  You can vote on your favorite IPA’s here, and you can add any IPAs that you feel should be on the list.

The March Madness competition will be held on Thursday, March 8th, at 7pm at Enoteca.

To participate, start by going to our Facebook Page and clicking Like. This will give you access to nominate and vote for your favorite IPAs.

The first step in IPA March Madness is to select the Elite Eight. This selection is made through the following process:

  1. Using our Facebook Poll, nominate your favorite IPAs.
  2. Using our Facebook Poll, vote for your favorite IPAs.
  3. Voting closes on Saturday, March 3rd.
  4. We filter the list down to only beers that we can actually get at least 1 case of at this time.
  5. We bring in a case or more each of the winners, and keep the list secret.

HopsOn the night of the IPA March Madness tasting, we pour the beers in blind head-to-head match-ups.  You won’t know which two beers are in your two beer glasses, and you get to vote for your favorite.  This takes brand name, price, and label out of the equation.  What do you really like?  The loser is revealed, and the winner proceeds to the next round.

After 3 rounds of this (pouring 4 sets, then 2 sets, then 1 set) we will have an IPA March Madness Winner.

The cost for coming to the event is $15 per person.  You can secure your seats here, and pay for your tickets.

Note: Enoteca strives to bring you the best experience in wine and beer. Due to the popularity of our events we have had to change our policy on event tickets.  Now you buy tickets online, just like concert tickets.  They’re not yours until they’re paid for, and when we fill up, tickets are no longer available.  Unfortunately we can no longer provide refunds FOR EVENTS.  You will be emailed a receipt for your payment of the ticket, and you can print this for verification of the ticket.
