Was not disappointed….. got some great wines and was timed right to visit tasting room where I met some awesome people enjoying wine – wish I lived closer than Lewiston, ID… I’d be a regular – you are so helpful in helping me find wonderful red wines and make customers feel like they’re walking into a friend’s home! Justin Wine Tasting this weekend
with Dustin Lewis
Start the weekend out right at Enoteca – Fine Wine & Beer!
This Friday from 12-7 Enoteca will be sharing a selection of Justin wines with Dustin Lewis on site to share info about the winery! We’ll be tasting these wines Saturday from 12-7 as well, which is a great time to beat the rush!
We want to give you the opportunity to “try before you buy” so we offer a flight of wine for a low cost. Taste a flight (2 oz. each of 4 wines) for $10 per flight, and follow up with a glass.
(Paso Robles, California)
Aromas of pear, apricot and ripe stone fruit combine with a hint of caramel and toasted oak on the nose of this wine. The entry is bright and crisp with good acid and flavors of white peach, banana, meyer lemon and hints of mineral and toasted almonds. The wine finishes by coating your mouth with multiple layers of honey, cream, and a touch of spice from the “lees” stirred French oak.
(Paso Robles, California)
Ruby-red core to a cherry-red rim, this young Cabernet displays generous fruit in the nose. Some sweet black and red fruits, like blackberry, raspberry and fig, mingle with caramel and vanilla from the American oak. The entry is soft, mouth coating and filled with delicious red berry and sweet black plum. The wine itself is dry and palate filling, with a soft but well-structured, velvet finish. Tannins are modest but present in this youthful but approachable Cabernet Sauvignon.
(Paso Robles, California)
The Savant is dark ruby in color with a slight crimson hue. Aromas of dried flowers, wet earth, cocoa and caramel surround plum and black cherry in this barrel fermented red blend. The entry is soft and supple, filled with sweet fruit that layers your mouth. The mid palate balances the bright fruit of Syrah with the power and acidity of Cabernet Sauvignon. Structured, integrated tannins from the 68% new oak evolve into a lush velvety finish garnished with flavors of coffee, vanilla and butterscotch.
(Paso Robles, California)
OBTUSE is dark ruby in color with a bittersweet chocolate note accentuating jammy fruit aromas of raspberry, sweet cherry and plum. The wine is lush and sumptuous on the palate with chocolate, cherry and rich plum flavors. Drink now or allow to evolve over the next 5 to 7 years. A bottle cellared over 5 years should always be decanted.

Mark your calendars for tastings at Enoteca – Fine Wine & Beer. Some are classroom format, which means we all sit down at the same time and can interact with the presenter with questions and whatnot. Our Friday & Saturday wine tastings are drop-in format, which means you can stop in any time during the tasting hours and try some excellent wine. We price our tastings to just break even on the quantity we pour for you, and our pours are quite a bit more than a typical winery tasting room experience. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company has a proud history as one of the pioneers of the craft brewing industry and as a brewer of award-winning beers since 1981. Chris Hem always comes with a pile of stories and great information about these hoppy beers.
As this is their 30th Anniversary, the brewery has been brewing up batches of the Sierra 30 project, collaboration brews put together with input and skills from other fantastic brewers, such as Fritz Maytag of Anchor Brewing. Should we try one at this tasting? I suppose so! Bring your growlers to fill up on a unique on-tap opportunity!
After tasting a bunch of beers, you get to take home a glass from the brewery. We’ll be holding two identical tastings, one at 5 pm and one at

Thursday, June 10th – 5 & 7 pm [$10 flight, classroom]
Troy Lobdell from Boston Beer Company will be on hand to share some beer with us. Have you heard of the Long Shot home brewers competition? Home brewers (thank you Jimmy Carter) submit their beers to Sam Adams all year long, and through a selection process that includes voting on your favorites at Enoteca, a six pack is put together of fantastic creations.
This tasting will be focused on the Long Shot competition. We’ll be tasting the new release Long Shot winners pack. We’ll also be tasting the competitors for next year’s Long Shot competition, and voting on our favorites. How cool is that? Perhaps your vote will sway the contents of an entire production line at the Boston Beer Company.
After tasting a bunch of beers, you get to take home a glass from the brewery. We’ll be holding two identical tastings, one at 5 pm and one at 7 pm. $10 per person, reserve your tickets early!
