Noble Variety Wine Tasting This Weekend
Start the weekend out right at Enoteca - Fine Wine & Beer!
This Friday from 4-7 Enoteca will be hosting Scott Lewis of Eagle Marketing as he shares a delicious selection of wine from around the world to taste and enjoy. We want to give you the opportunity to “try before you buy” so we offer a flight of wine for a low cost. Taste a flight (2 oz. each of 5 wines) for $10 per flight, and follow up with a glass. We will be tasting Saturday from 12-7 as well, which is a great time to beat the rush.
Check out this unique wine! A German style Riesling from New Zealand, the place where we expect Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. A perfumed bouquet of ripe limes and floral notes characterize this refreshing, slightly off-dry styled wine.

Mossback is an old fashioned term for farmer. The Mossback wines are built around fruit grown by some of the best farmers in the Russian River Valley. This Chardonnay is cold fermented with no oak aging making a crisp, intense wine that accentuates the green apple and citrus aromas and flavors that a pure, unaltered Chardonnay can express.

A perfumed bouquet of ripe cherries and raspberry fruits, hallmarks of Marlborough Pinot Noir. On the palate the wine displays ripe fruit with complex savoury and spice elements. Soft, silky, fine-grained tannins provide structure and definition, yet also allows for immediate consumption.
White game meats, lamb dishes, Port Salut and other soft cheeses.

Merlot came to us from Bordeaux where it serves as a major component in the Medoc and the dominate grape in Pomerol. Over the past two decades Eastern Washington has carved out a serious reputation for Merlot. Washington’s large diurnal temperature swings (often 40 degrees or more), lack of rain (6-8 inches per year) and porous, low-vigor soils allow us to produce lusciously rich and distinctive Merlots.
This 2005 Traditions is a velvety, polished wine with astonishing length and intensity. The nose offers a wide array of aromatics including cherry, blackberry, vanilla and spice. The texture is ripe and lush with well-integrated tannins. A small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera bring a complementary depth, structure and bouquet to the wine. 89 Points Wine Enthusiast
84% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Barbera

Ask yourself this question: Have you ever found yourself in a wine shop or restaurant perusing the wines and wondering how do I choose the best wine for the money? You may admire a label, recognize a name, or recall a great review in essence you’re making an “Educated Guess.” This is exactly what goes on in the vineyards and wineries around the world. Should we pick the grapes now or wait? How long should we barrel age our wine? Should we use French or American Oak, or both?
The label shows you actual winemaking formulas that are either induced or naturally occur during a specific winemaking process.
Tasting notes include, rich, ripe and focused with juicy blackberry and boysenberry fruit, all tied together with a creamy french vanilla middle and a lingering finish.
