Start the New Year out right at Enoteca - Fine Wine & Beer! This Friday from 4-7 Enoteca will be hosting Darin Roberson as he shares an exciting selection of wine. We will be tasting Saturday from 12-7 as well. Taste a flight (2 oz. each of 5 wines) for $10 per flight, and follow up for $5 per glass (5 oz. pour), except the Andrew Will, which is $10 per glass. It was a sunny day in the summer of ’94 when I met Port. Outside I heard the distinct sound of an animal in distress. It took only moments to realize what was happening across the field from my house — a very small animal had fallen into harms way and was being attacked by a Pit Bull. I ran to the scene, broke up the fight and found that the small animal was a puppy that was very badly injured. Instinctively, I wrapped him up and took him to the veterinarian. I agreed to pay for the emergency surgery and recovery. The puppy had lost a leg, but found a home. With only three legs, and two on the port side, I named him Port, and he is my best friend. – Eric Dunham, Winemaker[Member: $17.99 / Retail: $19.99]

Freestyle Trappist Beer Tasting
Freestyle Trappist Beer Tasting - Wednesday January 16th from 5-7 p.m.
Wednesday, January 16th, from 5-7 at Enoteca we will be holding a Freestyle Beer tasting, specifically focused on the Trappist beers brewed by Monks. The Trappist order originated in the Cistercian monastery of La Trappe, France. These rules govern the breweries operating with the “Authentic Trappist Product” Logo.
- The beer must be brewed within the walls of a Trappist abbey, by or under control of Trappist monks.
- The brewery, the choices of brewing, and the commercial orientations must obviously depend on the monastic community.
- The economic purpose of the brewery must be directed toward assistance and not toward financial profit.
